Catching up with our students

We had the chance to speak with our former student of the Master Stop Motion, Dariana.
After finishing her studies in BAU, she went back to Mexico, where she started her own animation studio. Before this Master, Dariana had no experience in animation, and she tells us how during this course she could develop the skills to later work in StopMotion professionally.
For her, the most attractive part of the Master was working on the animation shortfilm:

“…When you start to create your own story, script, storyboard, character design, puppet construction, animation, etc. In that moment you start to put in practice everything you have learned. It’s a very exciting challenge, stressfull but always fun.”

Dariana directed the shortfilm “La Mujer que Saltaba de Planeta en Planeta” during the Master 2015.

The master gave me all the knowledge that I have now to develop advertising projects in my studio. A year ago, I started “Dariana Studio”, where I am currently working on some animation videos, experimenting with different techniques, and I also teach animation workshop for kids and adults.

It makes us really happy to see how our former students continue to explore and create their own animation projects!

The studies in BAU have opened me more doors that I ever expected. Now I am making an animation video for a very important packaging company, and I hope in the future my Studio becomes bigger and more important in my country

Here you can see Dariana’s animation projects, and the workshop she teaches. Hope we see more from her studio very soon!
