Experimental Animation with Antoni Pinent

Experimental Animation with Antoni Pinent

In the world of Stop Motion animation, there are many different techniques, and it’s easier to recognize some of them more than others (Ex. Puppet animation, Cut-out).
Nevertheless, we can find other ways to animate, and that is actually one of the big objectives in the Master of Stop Motion of BAU: to encourage the students to get familiar with more unknown techniques and try out different materials and processes.

Last week, the class had the chance to learn about experimental animation with the Film Maker and Curator Antoni Pinent. The invitation was to create their own experimental clips and screen them.

By directly intervening some old film, the students developed short experiments in analog animation which turned out to be really amazing!
